PAR European Oak Hardwood Timber (Planed All Round – Unjointed)
Machined from sustainably sourced, premium-grade European timber, our Planed All Round (PAR) European Oak boards are precision planed smooth on all four faces and supplied in continuous, single-piece solid lengths without finger joints. Kiln-dried to an optimal 8–12% moisture content prior to profiling, this unjointed timber preserves the uninterrupted beauty of European Oak’s natural ray fleck, distinctive growth rings, and warm, golden-honey tones.
Renowned globally for its immense structural strength, natural rot resistance, and classic character, European Oak is the gold standard for luxury joinery. It takes oils, waxes, hardwax oils, and lacquers exceptionally well while holding crisp profiles and clean arrises. By supplying completely unjointed, single-timber lengths, each board guarantees structural integrity and seamless grain continuity—making it the ideal choice for bespoke table tops, long-run floating shelves, architectural door frames, stair components, and luxury cabinetry.
Nominal vs. Finished Size Guide
Planed timber is accurately machined down from rough sawn nominal boards. The actual finished dimensions will differ from the original sawn measurements:
| Nominal (Sawn) Size | Actual Finished (Planed) Size |
| 25mm | 20mm |
| 32mm | 26mm |
| 38mm | 32mm |
| 50mm | 44mm |
| 100mm | 94mm |
| 125mm | 118mm |
| 150mm | 144mm |
| 175mm | 168mm |
| 200mm | 194mm |
Please Note (Finished Tolerances): All sections are solid natural hardwood and free of finger joints. Lengths are supplied with a slight positive over-allowance to let you cross-cut perfectly square ends on site. Because solid oak breathes and responds naturally to ambient relative humidity, slight dimensional tolerances of ±1mm to 2mm can occur. Always acclimatise timber within its intended indoor environment for 7–14 days prior to final installation or glue-up.
